"Bona Tenete - Hold Fast To That Which Is Good"

Headteacher - Mr P Jenkins

EXCITING TIMES AT HARTRIDGE - Exam Results

The headteacher Mr Peter Jenkins stated ‘he was absolutely delighted’ with the recent examination results.  They were the highest set of results ever achieved by the school and the increases were simply ‘staggering’.

This was most noticeably illustrated by the rise in the percentage of pupils achieving at least 5 A*-C GCSE grades or equivalent going from 30% in 2009 to 48% this year and those that included English and Maths as part of these qualifications rose from 19% to 32% and led to the observation that Hartridge is one of the most rapidly improving schools in Wales.

However, the school is not content with this success and expects next year’s results to be even higher.

When these successes are combined with the ‘new build’ it is easy to see that life at Hartridge is changing and everyone involved is in for an exciting time ahead.

THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR

The new school year begins for all pupils (except Year 12) at 08.45 on Monday 6th September.

Year 7 pupils should come to Upper School Hall.

Those pupils returning to Year 12 should come to the school on Friday 3rd September at 12.00 to register and begin their induction.
