Friends of Caerleon Comprehensive

The Friends of Caerleon Comprehensive (FOCC) is made up of a small, friendly group of parents and teachers.  We raise money for the school in a number of ways:

  • Car Boot Sales (April-Oct), held on the school grounds, are oganised and supported by FOCC members.  These sales provide us with a significant percentage of the money we raise each year.
  •   We provide refreshments at many of the school events, concerts and parents' evenings.
  • We raise funds through the Gift Aid scheme, where parents can make tax free donations to the group (we are a registered charity).

Anybody interested in FOCC is very welcome to attend one of our monthly meetings (see the 'Up and Coming Events' section on the Home Page).

What do we do with the money we raise?  In recent years we have paid the lease on one of the school minbuses - approx £3000 per annum.  Purchase of a new school piano and two large pieces of gym equipment - several thousand pounds.  Donations to pay for sports kit, travel to the Albert Hall for the orchestra and funding for the new school sign, hanging baskets and plant pots around the school grounds.
